CALVARY INTERNATIONAL CHRISTIAN CENTRE
In obedience to God, as a Christ-centered body, we are committed to proclaiming; salvation, hope and the goodness of Jesus Christ which changes lives, in every nation, city, town, and village we find ourselves.
OUR FOCUS
CALVARY INTERNATIONAL CHRISTIAN CENTRE
To introduce Christ and all that he embodies (compassion, love, abundant life, restoration, mercy, grace, healing, peace, hope), to everyone we meet and to equip them to also introduce Christ to others.
To empower men and women to prosper spiritually, emotionally, physically, and economically.
To empower the youth to lead Godly and fruitful lives and to become the leaders of tomorrow.
To make our world a better, more joyful and peaceful place.
To be Heaven conscious in all that we do.
OUR BELIEVES
CALVARY INTERNATIONAL CHRISTIAN CENTRE
GOD
THE FATHER, THE SON & THE HOLY SPIRIT
There is only one living and true God, and He is the creator of the universe. (Ex 15:11, Is 45:11, Jer. 27:5)
He is revealed in the unity of the God head as God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
God the Son, is Jesus Christ , the Saviour of the world, born of the virgin Mary (Matt 1:18, Luke 1 :26-35)
Jesus Christ is God Manifested and dwelt among men (John 1: 14). We believe that Jesus died on the cross for the sins of all mankind (Phil 2:6-11). He rose from the grave and ascended into Heaven (Lk 24:6-7; 24-26, 1Cor 15:3-6, Acts 1:9-11), and continues to intercede on our behalf. (Rom 8:34, Heb 7:25)
Jesus Christ will return to reign on earth and on the final judgement, He will judge every human being for what they have believed, in what they have thought, what they have said and done. (Acts 1:11, 1Thess 4: 16-18)
God the Holy Spirit is the manifest presence and convicts us of sin, teaches spiritual truths according to the written word of God (Jn 16: 8:15). He is in every believer, comes upon us and is with us. The gifts of the Holy Spirit are for the benefit of every Christian.
CHRISTIAN LIFE & THE CHURCH
All who through faith receive consciously and willingly accept Christ as Lord and Saviour are born again. All Christians must develop the fruit of the Holy Spirit. (Gal 5: 22:23).
The true Church is made up of all, who through the saving faith in Jesus Christ are born again by the power of the Holy Spirit and are united in the body of Christ.
The Lord’s Supper is a memorial service setting forth in sacred and symbolic manner the death of the Lord Jesus Christ. All true believers, and only believers, should partake in it.
SALVATION
We believe that all humanity has sinned and is in need of redemption from their sins to receive everlasting life in Heaven and avoid eternal death in hell.
We believe that the shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only ground for justification and salvation for all who believe, and only such as receive Jesus Christ by faith are born of the Holy Spirit and thus become children of God.
Water baptism by immersion soon after accepting Christ as personal Saviour, is a testimony of death to sin and resurrection to a new life in Christ
EVERLASTING LIFE
There will be a personal and imminent return of our Lord Jesus Christ, which is our hope. We believe in the rapture, the bodily resurrection of the dead in Christ and those who are alive and remain shall be caught up to meet Jesus.
We believe after death, eternal life begins, in Heaven or hell based on the judgement.
THE BIBLE
The bible provides the standard for every Christian’s faith and practice. It expresses the true basis of Christian fellowship.
