1. Shiloh is our annual celebration at the end of our first prayer and fasting period of the year. (The last Sunday In January.    1 Samuel 1:3 (NKJV)  “3 This man went up from his city yearly to worship and sacrifice to the Lord of hosts in Shiloh. Also the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, the priests of the Lord, were there.”
  2. At Shiloh the entire congregation and ministers gather together to worship, seek the face of the Lord, to have an encounter with the Lord and to remind and ensure that we continue in worship all through the year.
  3. Shiloh is our place, our space and our tabernacle where God has set His name from the start.   Jeremiah 7:12a(NKJV) “12 “But go now to My place which was in Shiloh, where I set My name at the first….”
  4. At Shiloh we are reminded and celebrate the many gifts we receive from God including God Himself and life itself. (The gift of God is one of the Hebrew meanings of Shiloh).
  5. At Shiloh we receive assurance of peace, tranquility and safety throughout the year. That is why we symbolise it with an all white affair (Another Hebrew meaning is the peaceful one or tranquility)
  6. Shiloh is also the personification of The Messiah, The Saviour, The person of Christ and we are reminded that He dwells in us (An old Hebrew word meaning ; He who it is, He who is to be sent, the Messiah, that which belongs to Him). Genesis 49:10 (KJV “10 The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.”  John 17:3(NLT) “3 And this is the way to have eternal life–to know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the One You sent to earth.” Colossians 1:27 (NLT) “27 For God wanted them to know that the riches and glory of Christ are for you Gentiles, too. And this is the secret: Christ lives in you. This gives you assurance of sharing His glory.
  7. At Shiloh God reveals himself to us.     1  Samuel 3:21. (NKJV) “21 Then the Lord appeared again in Shiloh. For the Lord revealed Himself to Samuel in Shiloh by the word of the Lord.
  8. At Shiloh we receive a prophetic word as individuals and collectively as a body through His prophet. 1 Kings 14:2-4 (NKJV)  “2 And Jeroboam said to his wife, “Please arise, and disguise yourself, that they may not recognize you as the wife of Jeroboam, and go to Shiloh. Indeed, Ahijah the prophet is there, who told me that I would be king over this people. 3 Also take with you ten loaves, some cakes, and a jar of honey, and go to him; he will tell you what will become of the child.” 4 And Jeroboam’s wife did so; she arose and went to Shiloh, and came to the house of Ahijah. But Ahijah could not see, for his eyes were glazed by reason of his age.”
  9. At Shiloh sacrifices and vows are made unto the living God. We give with a specific expectation.  1 Samuel 1:10-11 (NKJV)  “10 And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed to the Lord and wept in anguish. 11 Then she made a vow and said, “O Lord of hosts, if You will indeed look on the affliction of Your maidservant and  remember me, and not forget Your maidservant, but will give Your maidservant a male child, then I will give him to the Lord all the days of his life, and no razor shall come upon his head.”
  10. At Shiloh we receive grace and an anointing to be fruitful in every area of our lives. God has blessed us and instructed us to be fruitful and to multiply. That is why we celebrate the occasion symbolically with fruits  and olive oil –   1 Samuel 1:20-22 (NKJV)  “20 So it came to pass in the process of time that Hannah conceived and bore a son, and called his name Samuel, saying, “Because I have asked for him from the Lord.” 21 Now the man Elkanah and all his house went up to offer to the Lord the yearly sacrifice and his vow.  22 But Hannah did not go up, for she said to her husband, “Not until the child is weaned; then I will take him, that he may appear before the Lord and remain there forever.”

Genesis 1:28(NKJV)
“28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

John 15:5 (NKJV)
“5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me, you can do nothing.

John 15:8 (NKJV)
“8 By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.”
